Interactions Corporation Selects David Parkinson to Fill New COO Position
BOSTON, Oct. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Interactions Corporation, provider of the most natural, conversational automated systems for customer care, announced today that David Parkinson has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Parkinson, who brings more than 25 years of executive experience, will be responsible for end-to-end client relationships, which includes professional services, sales, and client relations.

Parkinson most recently served as Executive Vice President of the America's for Trustwave, a leader in on-demand data security and payment card industry compliance management solutions to businesses and organizations throughout the world.
Prior to Trustwave, Parkinson served as President and CEO of Vericept Corporation, the leading provider of comprehensive compliance and content control solutions. Parkinson joined Vericept in 2005 and served as CEO until 2009, at which point the company was acquired by Trustwave. Prior to Vericept, Parkinson served as an Executive in Residence at Sigma Partners from 2002 to 2005, where he assumed the CEO position in Sigma's portfolio companies to provide either transition or permanent leadership.

Parkinson began his high tech career at Cullinet Software, which was the first independent software company listed on the NYSE. He then served as Chief Financial Officer at Phoenix Technologies, a Sigma Partners portfolio company. After Phoenix went public in 1988, Parkinson co-founded SystemSoft Corporation, which had a successful IPO in 1995. In 1993, Parkinson joined Boston Consulting Group where, as Corporate Controller, he was responsible for worldwide financial and treasury operations. 1998, he was promoted to Partner, Director, and Chief Financial Officer. Following Boston Consulting Group, Parkinson served as CEO of Books 24X7 which was acquired by Skillsoft in 2001, a leading SaaS provider of on-demand training and e-learning solutions for global enterprises, government and education agencies, and small to medium-sized businesses.
