WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- InterAction, the largest alliance of international NGOs and partners in the United States, has opened submissions for its 15th annual Effective Assistance Photography Contest.
For over a decade, InterAction's photography contest has focused on incredible humanitarian and development work. Once again, we encourage photographers – professional and amateur – to submit their most powerful photos that illustrate inspiring efforts in humanitarian assistance and international relief and development.
To honor this milestone, this year we will honor winners in three categories in addition to the grand prize winner. The categories are: best global development photo, best humanitarian assistance photo, and best photo taken on a mobile phone. The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from all of the submissions and can come from any category.
For more information, please visit www.interaction.org/photo or watch this short YouTube video from one of last year's judges.
CONTEST RULES AND ENTRY GUIDELINES
The contest opens January 30, 2017. The deadline to submit is March 31, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Entry is open to all, with the exception of current InterAction staff.
All images should be of work done outside of the United States and photographers should own the rights to any images submitted. By entering a submission, entrants are granting InterAction royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive rights to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of their entry. When reproduced, all photographs will be credited to the photographer when possible.
