Interact Announces Launch of 'Interact 7' Nonprofit Competition
NEW YORK and LONDON, October 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
One lucky winner will get a new intelligent intranet worth $60,000 in Interact Intranet's annual Nonprofit Competition
Interact Intranet launches their 2014 Nonprofit Competition today, giving organizations worldwide the chance to see if they can become one of the 'Interact 7'. The winner of this amazing competition will win an intranet that is packed with powerful process efficiency tools that will significantly improve communication, knowledge sharing and collaboration, and help bring together their scattered workforce of volunteers, field workers and trustees.
This unique competition is now in its 3rd year and the benefits it has for the winning nonprofit's ability to communicate is fantastic, as highlighted by Michelle Baillie, Senior Communication and Marketing Officer for The Children's Trust, last year's winner, "Winning Interact's charity competition last year was really exciting for The Children's Trust, giving us the opportunity to develop our first intranet. As the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury, the ability to work smarter and more cost-effectively is vital for us. Our intranet is helping us improve our internal communications and is a platform where we can share our successes and take pride in knowing that we're making a difference to the children and families we support."
Dr Nigel Danson, CEO & Founder of Interact Intranet comments; "After the economic downturn, nonprofits have seen donations decrease and have had to look for new ways to maximize their operational efficiencies to ensure a higher percentage of donations reach those that need it. They can accomplish this by using an Interact Intranet and that is something that we're really proud of."
The competition has been changed this year to incorporate two stages, the second of which will see the top 7 entries being asked to produce a video presentation to say why they should win. These entries will be available on Interact's website to allow the general public to vote for the winner, along with the Interact judging panel to decide the ultimate winner.
Choosing a winner isn't easy as Danson confirms; "There are so many deserving nonprofits across the world and the competition is fierce. The addition of a public vote definitely adds an exciting twist to the judging and I am really eager to see who this year's winner will be."
The competition is now open with the first round closing on the November 28, 2014 and the Interact 7 finalists announced on December 4, 2014. The winner will be announced on January 19th, 2015.
