INTEGRIS Health Selects Digital Assent Platform for Online Doctor Ratings
Automated software platform replaces previous 'home grown' solution
ATLANTA and OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Assent, a healthcare technology company that helps doctors and hospitals improve patient satisfaction and grow their online reputation, today announced that Oklahoma's largest health system, INTEGRIS Health, has selected Digital Assent's online reputation management platform to publish verified and unbiased doctor ratings and patient comments on their online physician directory.
In May of this year, INTEGRIS became the third healthcare system in the country to publish uncensored patient ratings and comments for their physicians. Like the previous two hospital systems to do so, Piedmont Healthcare and University of Utah Health Care, the ratings data comes from independently administered CG-CAHPS patient experience surveys – which adhere to nationally-established standards and are administered by impartial third parties like Press Ganey.
"We are thrilled that INTEGRIS chose to implement our software platform in order to automate the process of publishing of their patient satisfaction survey results online," said Andrew Ibbotson, founder and CEO of Digital Assent. "Adding INTEGRIS to our rapidly growing list of hospital system customers provides tremendous validation of this trend toward increased consumer transparency."
The first hospital system to publish individual doctor ratings on its own website was University of Utah Health Care. "As soon as we became aware that University of Utah was doing this, we knew they were onto something valuable," explained Todd Stogner, Digital Media Manager for INTEGRIS Health. "I was confident that we could implement a similar solution using our in-house resources, and we did," explained Stogner. "But once we completed our initial proof of concept, we realized that there was more complexity required to do this right than we had initially expected."
It only took approximately two weeks to replace INTEGRIS' in-house system with Digital Assent's software platform. "It was such a smooth process. I was shocked at how simple it actually was and how fast we saw results," commented Stogner.
As a result of transitioning to the Digital Assent platform, the patient ratings and comments on each physician's profile page are now automatically updated as new patient experience surveys are received and processed. INTEGRIS is reporting measurable improvements in search result rankings for all of the physician profiles that have the new Digital Assent data feed. According to Stogner, "Another important benefit is that the Digital Assent software has enabled us to roll this out to all of INTEGRIS' employed physicians with very little additional effort."
Digital Assent's new hospital system offering enables large healthcare systems to take an important step toward embracing consumer transparency. "We make it really easy to take federally-mandated patient satisfaction survey data that's already being collected, and use that data to publish doctor-specific patient ratings and comments to their online physician directory - with virtually no effort or training required from their physicians and staff to deliver system-wide results," concluded Ibbotson.
