ISSi Taps Two Industry Veterans for C-Level Positions

(ISSi) a leading IT service provider to the public sector announced today that it has named Martin Cummings as Chief Executive Officer and Cheryl Walker Waldrup as Chief Marketing Officer as part of its three-year strategic growth plan. The well-established SBA and Minority Purchasing Council certified Small Disadvantaged Business (Hispanic owned and operated) and Vietnam era Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOB) known for its longstanding service to the Departments of Energy and Justice made the announcement after an extensive search for the company's next leaders.

Martin Cummings has more than 27 years of experience in government contracting. Prior to joining ISSi, he served as a principal at Deep Water Point Consulting and as the Vice President for Homeland Security at AT&T Federal. He spent eight years as the Vice President for Strategic Market Development at Daon, a biometrics firm. Additionally, Cummings served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and spent 16 years as an Operations and Business Development Director at TRW. He is active in industry relations, having served on the Board of Directors for Tech America, and in various leadership roles at ACT-IAC. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
Cheryl Walker Waldrup brings more than 20 years of experience to ISSi in the government arena. She has held sales, marketing and business development leadership positions with a number of federal contractors including General Physics Corporation, American Systems Corporation, and Daon; most recently serving as the Vice President for Corporate Marketing and Partner Alliances at Govplace. While at Govplace, she was selected for the ACT-IAC government-industry Partners program (2012), as well as the Women in Technology's Leadership Foundry program, which trains and prepares women to serve on corporate boards of directors. Waldrup was a 2012 finalist for the Heroines in Technology award.
