INTECH Enhances Research Capabilities With New Team Of Three Ph.D. Hires
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- INTECH Investment Management LLC ("INTECH" or "The Company") today announced that it has formed a new research focused group to supplement its portfolio management team with the addition of three new hires: Gaurav Thakur, Ph.D., Onur Ozyesil, Ph.D., and Lin Zhao, Ph.D. In their newly created Associate of Research roles, Thakur, Ozyesil and Zhao will support the research and analytics efforts that underpin INTECH's development of more efficient portfolios for its clients. In addition, their joining will enable the Company's portfolio management professionals to devote increased attention to optimizing portfolios, working with clients, and developing new strategies. All three new hires are based at INTECH's research headquarters in Princeton, NJ.

Prior to joining INTECH, Gaurav Thakur, Ph.D. was a Senior Data Scientist at Digital Signal Corporation, where he worked on designing a decision-making software system based off of a Bayesian statistical algorithm he created. Before that, he was a senior engineer at MITRE Corporation, where he worked on sensor modeling. Thakur holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Princeton University.
Onur Ozyesil, Ph.D. was a visiting researcher at The Coordinated Science Laboratory of UIUC, before joining INTECH, where he researched optimal linear transforms for communication with partial information. In addition, he has taught multiple courses, most recently dealing with Multidimensional Calculus and Partial Differential Equations at Princeton University. Ozyesil holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Princeton University.
Before entering into her role at INTECH, Lin Zhao, Ph.D. delivered interactive lectures to students of multivariable calculus, among other subjects. Her extensive research has focused on computational differential equations, which involves modeling, analyzing, programming and collaborating on solving complex problems. Zhao holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
