Instrumentation Laboratory Awarded New Contract With Novation
Three-year Contract for Blood Gas Instrumentation
BEDFORD, Mass., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Instrumentation Laboratory (IL), today, announced it has been awarded a three-year contract with Novation for Blood Gas Instrumentation. Novation is the supply contracting company of VHA, Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista. The contract, effective January 1, 2010 includes an option for two additional one year extensions.
Included in the agreement is IL's portfolio of critical care analyzers, reagents, consumables and service, including the Company's flagship product, the GEM® Premier(TM) 4000 for blood gas, electrolyte and metabolite analysis with integrated CO-Oximetry testing, as well as the new GEM Premier 3500 analyzer. These instruments feature IL's patented Intelligent Quality Management (iQM®), a real-time, automated, quality assurance system that continuously detects, corrects and documents, to assure quality results and compliance, 24/7, regardless of operator or testing location. iQM, coupled with its cartridge-based technology and ease of use, allows the GEM Premier analyzers to provide consistent, accurate, lab-quality results throughout the hospital. The contract also includes GEMweb Plus data management system and GEMweb software, for remote management of GEM Premier analyzers, in addition to the GEM OPL, IL's portable CO-Oximeter.
