InStep Software to Present on Predictive Asset Analytics to Improve Equipment Reliability at Upcoming Emerson and EPRI Conferences
Company to Demonstrate Value of Implementing Advanced Pattern Recognition Software for Asset Monitoring
CHICAGO, Sept. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Power companies, manufacturers and other organizations in process-driven industries are taking advantage of the growing amount of industrial machinery sensor-related data to make significant equipment reliability improvements. Recognizing the growing demand for products and services that transform data into actionable insights, InStep Software will be discussing the application of predictive asset analytics to provide early warning detection of equipment health and performance problems to avoid failures at two upcoming conferences.
The first event, the Emerson Global Users Exchange, takes place Oct. 6-10 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Fla. InStep Software's Director of Strategic Development, Sean Gregerson, will present on "Using the Power of Predictive Analytics to Increase Equipment Reliability" on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 10:00 a.m. and then again on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 9:00 a.m. The presentation will explain how the use of advanced software applications for monitoring the health and performance of equipment provides early warning of incipient issues, days, weeks or months before standard alarms, resulting in improved reliability, reduced maintenance costs, extended equipment life and numerous downstream benefits.
In addition, InStep Software's Manager of Analytical Services, Mike Reed, will be presenting at EPRI's Fleetwide Monitoring Interest Group taking place Oct. 28-30 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Reed will speak on the "Importance of Reliability-based APR Modeling in Plant Monitoring Programs" while discussing the differences between reliability-based and performance-based models. InStep will also be exhibiting on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and company representatives will be available to discuss how PRiSM predictive asset analytics software is monitoring the health and performance of critical assets for organizations globally.
"The ability to predict equipment failures and accurately diagnose the cause of an issue to improve the overall reliability of an asset is hugely impactful in any asset-intensive industry," Gregerson said. "Our solution helps engineers and other plant personnel work more efficiently and effectively while achieving what would otherwise not be possible without advanced software applications. Analyzing raw sensor data from thousands of real-time streams to identify deviations and patterns can be done almost instantaneously with the help of predictive asset analytics software."
