SEATTLE, March 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Inspirus Credit Union opened its fourth credit union branch in the Roosevelt neighborhood to better serve members north of Seattle.
Inspirus is leasing 340 square feet of space from the Safeway located at 7300 Roosevelt Way NE Seattle, WA 98115. The new credit union branch is located inside of the store and will operate from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Both credit union members and non-members will have 24/7 access to a surcharge-free ATM during non-operational hours for the credit union.
The new branch features Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), a technology trend in the banking industry that provides more security and more efficient transactions for credit union members.
"We introduced this technology to the credit union in 2015," said Vice President of Branch Operations Patsy Gayda. "ITMs allow us to better serve both our members through more personalized service transactions without surcharge fees," she said.
As a not-for-profit credit union, Inspirus focuses all of its philanthropic giving on schools and programs that directly benefit education. In 2018, the credit union gave more than $650,000 to education in Washington, and plans to give more in 2019.
"Opening this branch will benefit our members who live north of Seattle," said President and CEO Scott Adkins. "We've already started building friendships and partnerships within the community, and are excited to continue serving our members and the education community in this area."
Credit union members will be able to perform everyday financial transactions at this branch, in addition to opening checking, savings, and loan products.
The Element Group is the architect for this branch and Tri-Con Commercial Construction is the general contractor on the project.
Community members can visit the new branch location between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays to perform everyday financial transactions. For more information, visit inspirusCU.org.
