Inspiring Lives Magazine and The Global Sisterhood Wow Pittsburgh, Support Education through Show-Stopping Global Gala and Mastermind
PITTSBURGH, March 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 300 global business and philanthropic leaders will gather at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on April 14, 2018, for the 2nd Global Sisterhood red carpet Global Gala and Mastermind. The Global Sisterhood 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charity's major annual fundraiser will benefit Zephaniah Free Education School in Pakistan, which provides girls with an education equal to what boys receive.
Local celebrities and nationally known powerhouse women will take the stage at both events. Gala host Dr. Shellie Hipsky is a best-selling author, editor-in-chief of Pittsburgh-based Inspiring Lives Magazine, and founder of The Global Sisterhood. Kym Gable, an Emmy Award-winning media personality and director of Inspired Women Pittsburgh, South, will co-MC the Gala. Darieth Chisolm, Eileen Grubba, and Lucinda Cross will speak and lead breakout sessions at the Mastermind. Chisolm is a TV host, author, speaker, coach, activist, and filmmaker, spearheading the 50 Shades of Silence movement supporting victims of cyber harassment and online crimes. Grubba regained her mobility after paralysis and has been a Hollywood actress on hit shows such as Nip Tuck and CSI, as well as movies. Cross's story of going from serving a sentence in federal prison to traveling the globe teaching people how to Activate their dream lives has been featured on The Today Show and in Essence Magazine.
At the Mastermind from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 100 global business and philanthropic leaders will develop plans to impact communities worldwide, enabling women to support themselves and reach their goals. Hollywood producer Betsy Chasse will also screen her woman's documentary, The Empty Womb.
Pittsburgh's premier Global Gala will begin at 6:30 PM with jaw-dropping entertainment from international singers, dancers, and more, as well as food and dancing. An awards ceremony will honor women who have achieved in business or philanthropy, while supporting other women. Black tie is optional; national dress is encouraged.
