Innovator Capital secures funding for Iceotope

LONDON, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovator Capital secures funding for next generation liquid cooling technology.

The boutique investment bank, Innovator Capital, announces that it has successfully closed an investment round for the UK based company Iceotope Ltd of up to $USD 10 million. Incoming investors include Ombu Group and Aster Capital.

Innovator acted as Iceotope's exclusive financial advisor on the transaction.

Schneider Electric, Solvay and Alstom are investors in Aster Capital. The Managing Partner of Aster Capital, Jean-Marc Bailly, previously head of Schneider Electric Ventures will join the Iceotope board.

Iceotope, a presenting company at CleanEquity Monaco 2013, has developed a platform, next generation liquid cooling technology applicable to any commodity electronics where excess heat is an issue. The first application of Iceotope's technology is in computer servers where Iceotope's liquid cooling allows for the removal of the standard air conditioning, fans and pressure management systems typically used. The results are dramatic improvements in cost, reliability and performance as well as enabling higher server density and near silent running.

Proceeds from the funding will be used to fulfil orders and accelerate the commercialisation of Iceotope's platform technology into new markets such as defence and telecoms.
