Innovative online fundraising contest sends donors abroad
VANCOUVER, April 23, 2013 /CNW/ - An innovative contest by Love Global Foundation (LGF) recently closed and is sending six unsuspecting donors to visit their supported missionaries. The contest is part of LGF's new approach to fundraising for Christian missions. LGF raised over $500,000 last year, engaging over 1,200 donors. 80% were under 40 years old.
"Missionaries have incredible stories to tell and wisdom to share, but without a platform like LoveGlobal.com, many of these stories won't get told," says LGF Director Darian Kovacs. "LoveGlobal.com allows them to see each other face to face in real time online. It's bringing missions work into the 21st Century."
ABOUT LGF
Love Global Foundation is a registered Canadian charity that helps missionaries become fully-funded through offering charitable status, an online platform for missionaries to tell their stories through text, photos and videos, weekly e-letters, and fundraising assistance.
