NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Nov. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- FlipTix, the groundbreaking event ticketing mobile technology company enabling attendees that leave early to 'flip' their seats to waiting fans, today announces a strategic partnership with Stage Left Entertainment, a boutique live event production company. This is FlipTix's third strategic partnership, having launched in June at Scottsdale's BLK Live and recently "flipped tickets" at Southern California's KAABOO-Del Mar festival. Additional partnerships will be announced in coming weeks.
The reality of events is that nearly 30% of attendees leave early – creating an opportunity for fans to gain access, as well as allowing promoters an opportunity to increase revenues. FlipTix enables those vacated seats for "Flipping" (re-purchase) by geo-targeting fans and rewards those who "Flip" their tickets with cash, merchandise or other promotions at the concert venue.
"Partnering with FlipTix is smart business for us," says Stage Left Entertainment's Nick Abate. "Now, for every show or festival we produce, we can give this option to ticket-buyers making shows even more accessible."
"We're excited to partner with Stage Left Entertainment, as they are producing events around the country," FlipTix founder Jaime Siegel continues, "For concert venues, it's really a 'no-brainer', as "flipping tickets" opens up additional revenue streams, including food and beverage, souvenirs, parking, etc. But we created FlipTix for the concert-goer, to make their event experience as memorable as possible."
Stage Left Entertainment's first "FlipTix" ticketed festival will be in Spring 2019. Details will be announced shortly.
"Traditional" ticket brokers can only sell tickets before events start, not after a show has begun. FlipTix has created proprietary, patent pending algorithms for availability and pricing for "flipped" tickets, allowing for the best concert-going options for fans.
