InNEVator 2017 'bootcamp' will accelerate development of young companies
Funding and interaction with experts are emphasized in fall 2017 program for IoT startups hosted by The Innevation Center University of Nevada, Reno - opportunities to apply or sponsor are available
RENO, Nev., Aug. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- InNEVator 2017, a bootcamp for startups in the Internet of Things space, will give several young companies a unique opportunity to accelerate development of their concept and business this fall. Hosted through The Innevation Center University of Nevada, Reno, the six-week, intensive InNEVator 2017 starts Oct. 2.
Participating startups will receive funding and have the opportunity to closely interact with the program's sponsors, investors and mentors who are successful industry veterans. InNEVator 2017 is designed to accelerate development of prototyping, creative thinking, commercialization, seed-funding, planning and operations, customer engagement and other aspects of business. The deadline to apply for participation is Aug. 28.
"The overall goal is to create more viable, fundable startups, as we also spur creativity, ideation and economic opportunity," Jim Sacherman, director of The Innevation Center and a successful serial entrepreneur, said.
Breadware and WaterShed Growth Ventures have joined The Innevation Center as hosts of InNEVator 2017.
Breadware is a unique hardware and software service that helps entrepreneurs and businesses seeking to develop products in the IoT space. Based in The Innevation Center, Breadware moved its headquarters and operations to Reno in March 2017.
