Inneos Optoelectronic Subsystem Supports HDMI 4k/60 Hz Video Transport
Highly Integrated & Function-Rich SX51-02E SubSystems Provide Short Design Cycles and Quick Time-to-Market
PLEASANTON, Calif., April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Inneos, LLC, the industry leader in Video over Fiber transport, today announced their standard SX51-02E product is now warranted to transport HDMI 4k/60 Hz video with 8 bits per color channel and 4:2:0 color depth on a single multimode fiber.
"When it comes to bandwidth, we've always been the big dog in the fight," said Jeff Brown, Sales Engineer-Americas. "We've been encasing our patented CWDM technology into very small and efficient packages for over a decade to deliver the lossless results others dream of."
Martin Smith, Director of Marketing for the company, emphasizes the performance rating is new but the product is not. "We've been noting the strong demand for UHD with 60 Hz refresh rates and 4:2:0 color. We're pleased to offer the industry a solution that maps directly to TMDS inputs as well as a USB channel, eliminating the need for any latency or loss-inducing chipsets." Smith notes that SX51-02E has been available since 2012. Like all Inneos products, it was designed with scalability in mind.
"While other manufacturers of video fiber solutions are struggling with the bandwidth requirements of 4K and adding the cost and complexity of multiple fibers to solve the problem, Inneos products are well positioned to offer ever-increasing throughput on a single fiber." said Smith.
