InList Global VIP Nightlife App Raises $3 Million in Funding
Exclusive Event Platform Launched by Michael Capponi and Gideon Kimbrell an Industry Game Changer
MIAMI, Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Developer and entertainment executive Michael Capponi and software engineer Gideon Kimbrell announced today that they have raised $3 million in funding for InList, their newly launched, revolutionary mobile application.
InList brings together the hospitality industry and prospective clients using their concierge platform and an integration engine which enables seamless reservations at more than 200 of the world's most exclusive venues. The disruptive application is based on proprietary technology developed under the leadership of Mr. Kimbrell.
Miami-based InList Inc. raised the backing from Moneta Group, a group of international investors and Star Capital, a U.S.-based investment group. The company previously raised an initial $1 million in seed funding, bringing the total investment in InList to $4 million.
Co-founder Mr. Kimbrell, formerly a software engineer for various Fortune 100 Companies, brings a decade of tech experience to the company. He has worked for Johnson & Johnson and Barnes & Noble among others, engineering systems used by millions of people worldwide.
Co-founder Mr. Capponi, a 25-year hospitality industry veteran credited with being one of the pioneers of South Beach, feels InList has been a long time coming. "This is the future of nightlife. In a global market drawn together by remarkably advanced mobile devices, a platform like ours is the logical next step for the nightlife, entertainment, and event industries," said Mr. Capponi.
Extremely attractive to venue owners, InList enables them to fill VIP tables with virtually no effort, and brings new clientele to their spaces. Members are drawn to the highly curated offerings in each city and the access that InList provides to exclusive clubs and festivals.
InList also announced that Oleg Firer has joined the company's board of directors. Mr. Firer served as the executive chairman of Unified Payments from inception until its acquisition by Net Element in April of 2013, when he became chief executive office and a board member. Under his leadership, Unified Payments' revenues grew by 23,646% over a 3-year period and Inc. Magazine ranked the company as #1 fastest-growing company in 2012. Mr. Firer is also a board member of Star Capital.
Mobile architect Rameet Chawla was an early stage partner whose company Fueled.com designed the polished look and simple interface of the InList app. In addition to creating the UrbanDaddy app, Fueled.com has created award-winning products for clients including Porsche, Sony, MTV, Ducati, JackThreads and P&G.
InList is now available for iPhone and Android. By the end of the year, the company will expand to include another set of international nightlife capitals and introduce a web platform for online bookings.
The company held recent high-profile launch events in collaboration with DuJour Magazine, Katie Holmes and Lenny Kravitz, and has generated robust word-of mouth interest that has led to one download of the app every minute at times.
