"We're extremely proud of this designation by the acknowledged authority on product innovation for the church and worship facilities market," said inLighten Director of Communications, Matt Welter. "We believe that, by its endorsement of the iGIVE Kiosk, Religious Product News, has recognized how thoughtfully applied technology can enable congregations to increase stewardship and freewill giving and better connect with members in a way that's attuned to their preferences and lifestyles."
inLighten CEO, Dan Snyder explained, "We identified a need, within the religious products marketplace, for an intuitive, self-service solution like iGIVE that would integrate giving and information access into a seamless experience. We engaged a variety of institutions for their ideas and feedback, and their input helped us to create a product that's inviting, user-friendly and is available to a congregation's members and visitors at all times – not just on Sunday mornings, but during meetings, activities, concerts and other events."
Snyder added, "Early deployment has surpassed our projections, and our clients have told us that acceptance by their members has exceeded expectations. The iGIVE Kiosk is being embraced by congregations of all sizes, in all parts of the country and across the spectrum of denominations."
The iGIVE Kiosk features a variety of payment modules including a cash collector that accepts bills in all denominations up to $100 and a check deposit drawer. These donation types are secured by an internal vault that's part of the kiosk construction. A card swipe module is available to accept both debit and credit card transactions and a variety of online payment options such as PayPal, Intuit and Google Wallet are enabled through the kiosk's touchscreen interface. iGIVE system software tracks all donations as well as event registrations, online purchasing and other services that can be offered through the user interface. Data can then be imported into leading church-specific accounting software products for reporting and archiving. An internal printer option for receipt, registration confirmations and other documentation will be offered in the next generation of the product, scheduled for release in 2014.
When not in use, the iGIVE Kiosk's 22-inch screen can function as a digital signage display used to present messages about events, activities and the life of the congregation. A web-based control interface enables iGIVE administrators to create, schedule and distribute dynamic, multimedia content incorporating video, graphics, text and other elements for a compelling user experience.
The enthusiastic response to the iGIVE Kiosk among churches has led to interest from other donation-funded organizations such as museums, zoos, community service groups and arts organizations. "As we shift from a primarily cash-based society to one that embraces an increasing number of alternate payment types, we see the applications for the iGIVE Kiosk as limitless," suggested Snyder.
The 2013 'Best of the Best' Hot Products, featuring inLighten's iGIVE Kiosk, will be included in the December issue of Religious Product News, reaching over 40,000 pastors and other churches leaders through print and online versions.
