Injury Law Center Records Million Dollar Settlement, Gives Back to Shelter
BOSTON, March 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The Injury Law Center is happy to report that, on February 20, 2020, Attorney Joseph J. Russo, settled a Massachusetts motor vehicle collision case at mediation for $1,030,000.
The case involved a severe "T-Bone" collision at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Temple Street in Newton, MA.
Attorney Russo's client sustained devastating injuries which included a Type III Odontoid fracture requiring a surgical screw and a subarachnoid hemorrhage causing permanent strabismus and vertigo. These injuries required Attorney Russo's client to receive protracted hospital admission at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
When Attorney Russo's client was discharged from the hospital, she experienced a considerable amount of financial hardship and was forced to enter the Boston Rescue Mission in Boston where she remained for nearly a year.
Attorney Russo was able to negotiate a settlement on his client's behalf which will allow her to leave the shelter and live comfortably in her own apartment for the rest of her life.
As a sign of appreciation for the opportunity to represent this courageous woman, the Injury Law Center treated all the residents and staff at the Boston Rescue Mission to a dinner catered by Five Guys restaurant on Summer Street in Boston who worked tirelessly to feed 100 people.
