Ingram Yuzek Announces Lateral Hire and Associate Promotions

NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move to expand the firm's existing practice representing US subsidiaries of Asia-based companies, the firm has announced that Susan J. Onuma has joined Ingram Yuzek as a partner and will serve as Chair of the firm's Asia Practice Group.

Ms. Onuma has extensive experience advising public and privately-held foreign organizations doing business in the United States.  Bilingual in Japanese, she is a longtime leader in business and civic organizations that support the Japanese and Japanese-American community and serves as the first female President of the Japanese American Association of New York.  She earned a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. from Barnard College.  She joined from Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.

The firm also announced the promotion of four additional attorneys to its partnership, effective January 1, 2014.

• Tara B. Mulrooney represents design and construction professionals in transactional and litigation matters throughout the construction process. She earned a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law and a B.A. from Georgetown University.
• Jennifer E. Schwartz has extensive experience litigating landlord-tenant matters and counseling commercial and residential owners on a broad range of lease-related and occupancy issues. She earned a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. from Union College.
• Mioko C. Tajika litigates a wide range of complex commercial cases. She has particular experience in intellectual property and employment law matters. A native Japanese speaker, Mioko works with Ingram's expanding Asia Practice, which counsels clients conducting, establishing or expanding their business in the United States. She earned a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a B.A. from New York University.
• Jennifer B. Zourigui's practice encompasses a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters. She has litigated numerous cases in both federal and state courts representing plaintiffs and defendants in a wide array of business disputes. She is adept at litigating cases involving employment, bankruptcy, real estate and taxation issues, among other areas of law. She earned a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. from Barnard College.
