NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ING Americas today announced the appointment of Bill James and Pieter Puijpe as Co-Heads of Structured Finance Americas, taking over for Chuck O'Neil whose retirement was effective as of July 31, 2015.
Both James and Puijpe will be based in New York and will report regionally to Rudolf Molkenboer, CEO, ING Americas, and functionally to Krista Baetens, Global Head of Specialized Financing Group. They will both be on the board of ING Capital LLC and will be members of the ING Americas Commercial Management Team (CMT) and the Regional Management Team (RMT).
Structured Finance Americas has been one of ING's top performing franchises with a strong client coverage model, industry sector expertise and specialized lending capabilities. Structured Finance Americas is headquartered in New York and has U.S. offices in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles, with affiliates in Latin American offices including Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. Structured Finance professionals have deep client relationships with midsized to large corporates as well as domestic and international private equity sponsors. Through its affiliates, Structured Finance Americas offers its clients capital markets services, debt structuring and underwriting, advisory services and hedging products.
ING Americas' strategy for Structured Finance is continued growth in the core global sector teams including natural resources, utilities, telecom media & technology, structured acquisition finance, structured export finance, infrastructure, investment industry, real estate finance and trade and commodity finance. Structured Finance Americas also expects growth in the local sector franchises which include acquisition finance, healthcare, insurance and special situations.

Prior to his most recent position as Global Head of Telecom, Media & Technology Finance, Puijpe served in a wide variety of roles, including Global Head of Corporate & Structured Finance Risk, a member of ING's Global Credit Committee, the Head of Utilities-Power for the EMEA region, and founding team member of the Natural Resources Offshore Services team.
