InformationWeek Announces Exciting New Approach to Live Events And Its Annual IT Excellence Research

In addition, InformationWeek's Elite 100 ranking of the most innovative users of IT, a staple of the IT industry for nearly 30 years, has been recast and will now become the InformationWeek IT Excellence Awards, recognizing IT leaders and companies that demonstrate outstanding innovation in six different IT categories. More details about the new program and how you can be a part of it will be announced later this fall.

After 28 years of successful annual InformationWeek Conference programs, the editors of InformationWeek will be expanding their relationships and connections with user companies of all sizes and industries by merging the conference with Interop ITX – the independent conference for IT leaders. The new approach, which will become a two-day program aimed at IT professionals, managers, and CIOs, will be presented at Interop ITX. Interop ITX takes place May 15-19, 2017, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The six categories in which InformationWeek and Interop ITX will recognize outstanding companies demonstrating IT excellence include:

IT Excellence in Infrastructure 
IT Excellence in Security
IT Excellence in Cloud
IT Excellence in DevOps
IT Excellence in Data & Analytics
Overall IT Excellence

The new awards program replaces the InformationWeek Elite 100 rankings. In addition, the submission process has been simplified without sacrificing the depth of information that made the Elite 100 rankings a pillar of the IT community for the past three decades.
