Industry Veteran Pascal Barbolosi Joins DDN as Company Accelerates Worldwide Adoption of its Big Data Solutions

CHATSWORTH, Calif., Aug. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DataDirect Networks (DDN), the leader in massively scalable storage, has appointed Pascal Barbolosi to the position of Vice President, EMEA. Barbolosi is responsible for managing and scaling the company's operations as it grows to meet increasing market demand for its Big Data- and content-optimized solutions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Barbolosi joins DDN from Bull, where he held the global role of Vice President, Extreme Computing, leading Bull's High Performance Computing (HPC) business unit. Prior to Bull, Barbalosi held various senior roles at SGI over a 15-year period, culminating in the position of Managing Director Southern EMEA. Earlier this year Barbolosi was named one of HPCWire's "People to Watch in 2012," along with DDN CEO Alex Bouzari and other key industry figures.
