Fielding, mutual fund industry veteran and current chairman of Investment Company Institute Mutual Insurance, has joined the Amana Mutual Funds Trust Board of Trustees. Fielding will serve Amana's board as a financial expert and head of its audit committee.

Fielding's financial industry career spans three decades, beginning in 1983 as founder and president of Fielding Management Company, Inc., and co-founder of Rochester Capital Advisors. He is a former OppenheimerFunds, Inc. Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager where he ran Oppenheimer's Rochester Division and managed more than $25 billion in state and municipal fixed income funds until his retirement in May 2009. He was a member of the Investor Advisory Committee of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) from 2004 to 2008, and he served on the Investment Company Institute's Board of Governors from 1991 to 1996.
Fielding holds an MBA in finance from William E. Simon School of Business Administration, Rochester, NY, and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. He has taught courses in finance and economics at Rochester Institute of Technology and Simon School of Business at University of Rochester.
Fielding is active on several boards, including the Board and Investment Committee of St. John's College, Annapolis, MD; the Executive Advisory Board of the Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, Rochester, NY; and the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House, Rochester, NY. Since 2009, he has served as trustee for Saturna Investment Trust, to which Saturna Capital is also adviser.
