Industry Veteran, Guy Adami, Joins Private Advisor Group to Advocate Independence and Provide Market Strategy
MORRISTOWN, N.J., Aug. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Private Advisor Group, LPL Financial's largest branch office and a $5B RIA, announced today that CNBC FastMoney contributor Guy Adami has joined the firm as Chief Market Strategist and Director of Advisor Advocacy.

In this newly created role, Mr. Adami will be responsible for being a champion for the independent advisor business model, developing new relationships for Private Advisor Group, building on the community based activities that make being part of Private Advisor Group so unique; while continuing concentrate on the markets. Mr. Adami will also stay on CNBC's FastMoney as a contributor.

Guy has held numerous key leadership roles in the financial services industry. He began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1986 and was quickly promoted to vice president and head gold trader at the firm. He then joined Goldman Sachs in 1996 as the head gold trader and one of the many proprietary traders within the Fixed Income Currency and Commodity division. In the spring of 2000, Adami joined the U.S. Equities division of Goldman Sachs where he was put in charge of the firm's Industrial/Basic Material group. Adami also served as executive director at CIBC World Markets in 2003 in the U.S. Equities division where he was head of the sector in charge of the Industrial/Basic Material group. Most recently, Mr. Adami was a managing director at OptionMONSTER.
