NEW YORK and TORONTO, June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Exiger, the global regulatory, financial crime, risk and compliance company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Gold as Managing Director, based in Toronto. Ms. Gold will lead the expansion of Exiger's Global Investigations Practice in Canada, bringing the firm's full suite of investigative, due diligence, and compliance solutions to corporations, law firms, and financial institutions operating in the region.
The move is the latest in a series of strategic expansion initiatives by Exiger in Canada, including the April acquisition of Toronto-based cognitive computing pioneer OutsideIQ/DDIQ, and the May acquisition of the Canadian arm of IPSA, a specialist in due diligence related to immigration, citizenship, and visas.
"Deborah is one of the leading professionals in the business, and I and my team have worked with her for years. We are thrilled to have her join our firm," said Richard Plansky, Global Head of Investigations. "Deborah will be a cornerstone of the Global Investigations Practice, and our clients will surely benefit from her deep experience and expertise."
Ms. Gold is a widely-respected industry leader with over two decades of experience in the areas of corporate investigations, corporate contests, anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, investigative due diligence, and litigation support. Her clients have included financial institutions, corporations, pension funds, private equity funds, and law firms. Supported by Exiger's technology solutions, Ms. Gold will be positioned to provide clients with the most comprehensive tools in the market for mitigating risk.

Ms. Gold joins Exiger from Kroll, where she was a Managing Director in the firm's Investigations and Disputes practice. Prior to Kroll, Ms. Gold was a Director with Navigant Consulting, where she managed the firm's business intelligence and due diligence practice in Toronto. She began her career in private legal practice, where she focused on commercial litigation and employment law.
