NEW YORK, May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Executives from Cable TV's leadership will assemble during the Cable Show 2012 for the Multicultural TV Breakfast and panel discussions. This has become an annual, "must-attend" event for those in the business of television for multicultural audiences. It will be held Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in Room 205A of the Boston Convention Center. The event is presented by two (2) leading TV trade publications, Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News.
"Each year, the Multicultural TV Breakfast has increased in popularity, which is reflective of the increasing importance of multicultural customers to the cable TV industry," said Louis Hillelson, Group Publisher for Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News.
The breakfast consistently attracts leading executives from cable TV providers, programming networks, production companies, agencies, research firms, financial investors, and advertisers.
This event always reflects the many changes affecting the business of serving various ethnic segments of cable TV customers. This year's program will be somewhat different from previous ones. This year, the program will include two (2), 30-minute discussions, each with its own unique focus.
One discussion, Content & Its Distribution Across Platforms, will address the variety of programming available and the challenges and opportunities related to its distribution across platforms, via new technologies. This panel reflects a business to business perspective. The other discussion, Driving Revenues and Attracting Viewers, will address the business to consumer relationship by focusing on marketing and promotional efforts for driving customer growth, attracting viewers and generating revenues from subscriptions, transactions and advertising sales.
Panelists will discuss the dynamic shifts in the marketplace and how these shifts are impacting decisions at their company and within the Cable TV industry. The panelists include leading executives from cable TV companies (MSOs) as well as programming networks. Those executives participating in the Content & Distribution discussion include Suresh Bala Iyer, CEO of Zee Americas and Veria Media; Glenn Goldsmith, VP of Programming for Mediacom; Berto Guzman, VP Affiliate sales and Marketing, nuvoTV; as well as Rajan Singh, EVP of International Business for News Corp Star US. The Revenues and Viewers discussion features leading marketing executives including Adrian Adriano, VP Multicultural Marketing for Comcast; Kenetta Bailey, EVP & CMO for TV One; Eric Conrad, VP Programming, Univision Deportes; and Philip Polk, the Director of Segmentation Marketing for Cox Communications.
The Multicultural TV Breakfast and panel program is produced by the Schramm Marketing Group, a NY-based marketing services company.
