Industry leader Steven Morgan joins Avison Young in Atlanta

Office sales, leasing and investment specialist becomes a Principal

ATLANTA, GA, June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Steve Dils, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Atlanta office, announced today that leading real estate professional Steve Morgan has joined Avison Young's brokerage operations in Atlanta.

Effective immediately, Morgan joins Avison Young as a Principal. He will focus on his specialties of office sales, leasing and investments and will provide multi-market advisory for corporate and international clients. He was most recently Senior Vice-President and Associate Broker at Grubb & Ellis in Atlanta.

Morgan brings nearly three decades of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, he owned and operated Morgan Realty Advisors; served as Managing Director and Southeast Regional Manager for CSFB Realty Corp. (the real estate brokerage division of Credit Suisse First Boston); and was employed by a leading local commercial real estate firm as Senior Vice-President, Associate Broker. Before entering the commercial real estate industry, he worked with the Coca-Cola Company as a U.S. Senior District Manager.

Past and current clients include: Ashland Oil, BMW of North America, Apple Computer, Hanover Insurance, U.S. Micro Corporation, JP Morgan, Bristol Myers-Squibb, Duane Morris, UCB, Inc., Equifax, Mitel, Art Institute of Atlanta, Kaplan, and many other local and national firms.

During his career, Morgan has garnered numerous awards, including the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors Phoenix and Silver Phoenix Awards, and Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors Hall of Fame Professionalism Award. He is also an Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors Life Member (1987-2011).

Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he played football in his freshman and sophomore years, and achieved Dean's List honors during his junior and senior years.
