TROY, Mich., Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Local Search Association (LSA) today announced the addition of Sharon Rowlands, CEO of ReachLocal, to its board of directors. Rowlands joins ranking representatives from Google, Microsoft and Starcom MediaVest Group as the latest additions to the LSA board.
Rowlands brings more than 20 years of experience leading multi-billion dollar companies serving small and medium-sized businesses, financial markets and enterprise customers. As the leader of ReachLocal, she offers unique insight into the digital marketing activities of local businesses big and small.

With a focus on "the business of local," LSA is expanding its membership and the board to be more inclusive of the many digital marketing and advertising channels and platforms commonly used by enterprises and small businesses in local markets, where roughly 95 percent of transactions occur.

Rowlands will also be a featured speaker and award judge at the 2015 Local Search Association Conference in Los Angeles, April 20-22. She will participate in a fireside chat discussing client experience and will join a panel discussion on local sales and small business advertiser retention.
