WASHINGTON, Oct. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Indigenous Technologies, LLC (Indigenous), a tribal-owned SBA 8(a) certified technical, cybersecurity, and engineering services provider to federal clients, is pleased to announce they have been awarded the U.S. State Department's Emergency Notification and Accountability (ENA) System contract. The contract has since been named SafeState. The SafeState IDIQ contract was awarded on Feb. 21, 2017 with a contract ceiling of $50M and a 5-year period of performance with Task Orders funded on Aug. 31, 2017.
Under this contract, Indigenous will provide a broad range of services including engineering, training, installation, implementation, information assurance, project management, and the planning to acquire a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) emergency notification solution with associated support services and maintenance necessary to manage a system for generating, sending, and tracking actual/simulated emergency notifications via emails, texts, land-lines, and radio to 206,000 users worldwide at all of DOS's 234 domestic sites and 304 overseas locations. This emergency notification system will be initiated in case of natural disasters, immediate hostile forces at DOS sites to include terrorism, violence of any kind, local hazards (coup, disease outbreaks), regional hazards in nearby cities and host country infrastructure failures. The Department is seeking an on-premise hybrid cloud-based solution that complies with all applicable Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) regulations.
