NEW YORK, June 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As one of the largest crowdfunding platforms in the world, Indiegogo has played a massively important role in helping tiny startups get noticed by both consumers and the retail industry. There are countless campaign success stories—particularly in the consumer tech space—that have come out of Indiegogo. You could almost argue that today brands seek to utilize the platform to quickly go viral, with the added benefit of raising a few bucks. But how can tech brands, and retailers, work together to create even greater success out of the platform? That's just one of the questions that John Vaskis, Head of Hardware, Technology, and Design Sales at Indiegogo, will address during his opening keynote at CE Week 2017 on Wednesday, July 12 at 12 p.m.
Vaskis's keynote, "From Zero Sales to Big Box Retail," will detail what the process of using the platform is like for manufacturers or those who simply have a brilliant idea. "The speech will encapsulate the process of a how a hardware company goes from product idea, to successful crowdfunding raise, transition into ecommerce and finally navigating the world of big box retail," said John Vaskis.
Vaskis joined Indiegogo in July 2012 as the Head of Gaming and Exploratory Vertical Sales. He's been in his current role as Head of Hardware since July 2014. In that role, Vaskis manages Indiegogo's largest sales team that is focused on driving growth in the hardware and technology vertical at the company. Vaskis and his team work closely with hardware entrepreneurs to help them build go-to-market strategies for their product launches and beyond. Collectively, he and his team and raised over $400 million on the platform.
