The general purpose reloadable (GPR) card is a banking alternative and a fee structure that provides consumers with a safe, affordable and convenient financial tool. There are no fees for purchase transactions, calls to customer service or card-to-card transfers.
JH Preferred enables consumers to direct deposit tax refunds to their card and load cash at more than 50,000 Vanilla Reload retail locations nationwide for a low fee up to $3.95. JH Preferred also offers cardholders rewards, a mobile app and other money management tools.
"We're thrilled to partner with InComm and bring this card to market," said Shehryar Hamid, SVP Financial Products, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. "Our fee structure is very attractive and gives Jackson Hewitt a competitive advantage over other prepaid programs and even over traditional bank accounts as more and more banks now move away from free accounts. InComm's vast reach allows us to give our customers the convenience of using and reloading our card at thousands of locations nationwide while rewarding them for signing up for the convenience of direct deposit among many other features. Our platform and program have been designed keeping our customers' needs and wants at the center and I fully expect our JH Preferred Card to delight our customers."
"Consumer demand for GPR cards is increasing at a rapid rate each year," said Brooks Smith, President and CEO, InComm. "Our goal is to make using and reloading these cards as quick and easy as possible, while creating stickiness through usage-driven incentives and rewards. Our technology, coupled with our GPR expertise and retail network, will move the needle for Jackson Hewitt in terms of acquisition and long-term cardholder retention. We're pleased to partner with Jackson Hewitt to provide their tax consumers with a safe and convenient alternative to cash and checking accounts."
Consumers can sign-up for the card online at www.jhpreferred.com or at any of the 6,800 Jackson Hewitt locations. JH Preferred leverages InComm's existing technologies and state-of-the-art processing platform, Vanilla Management System. The platform provides partners with a secure, scalable and customizable processing solution.
JH Preferred Prepaid Visa Cards are issued by Sutton Bank pursuant to a license from Visa Inc. and can be used everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.
