InCharge to Provide Home Buyer Financial Education as part of Wells Fargo NeighborhoodLIFT(SM) Program
Nonprofit organization supports effort that provides Orlando residents down payment assistance
ORLANDO, Fla., June 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- InCharge Debt Solutions ("InCharge") is collaborating with Wells Fargo Bank, the City of Orlando, and NeighborWorks America in a program that will provide down payment assistance grants of up to $15,000 to qualified home buyers in Orlando, Florida. The NeighborhoodLIFT(SM) initiative was announced at a press conference on June 21, 2012 at Orlando's City Hall featuring presentations by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Wells Fargo Regional President for Central Florida Larisa Perry, and InCharge President Etta Money.

In addition to the financial assistance, prospective home buyers will be able to take advantage of home buyer education sessions provided by InCharge. These sessions will help these prospective homeowners understand the home buying process, determine how much home they can afford, learn what lenders are looking for, and discuss ways to manage the costs of home ownership.
"We are pleased to partner in this important effort by providing financial literacy education to those who qualify for this innovative program," said Mrs. Money. "It is not enough simply to get approved for a mortgage, homeowners need to have a good handle on their finances, and be disciplined in saving for unexpected emergencies. Our educational programs will help these home buyers gain a better understanding of the financial aspects of home ownership."
The Orlando area has been hard-hit by the real estate downturn and the NeighborhoodLIFT(SM)initiative will be a tremendous boost to the local market. While sales of existing and new homes are showing signs of improvement, Florida still ranks 15th in foreclosures, making the LIFT program a very welcome opportunity for the Orlando community.
Wells Fargo is committing $7 million in grants and program funds for the City of Orlando through the NeighborhoodLIFT(SM) program that will become available at a two-day event that will take place July 13-14, 2012 at the Orange County Convention Center. This program is the first of its kind in the banking industry and events are being held throughout the state of Florida.
