This event will feature discussions of bankruptcy, workouts, and insolvency law, and will be attended by judges, trustees, attorneys, accountants, real estate professionals, financial advisors, auctioneers, bankers, appraisers, consultants and others involved in the bankruptcy and insolvency process.
"Cumulatively in 2011, California had the most bankruptcy filings in the country with more than 234,000, although that is down from the previous year," said Beth Mason, InCharge's Director of Outreach Programs for Bankruptcy Services. "According to leading indicators, western states have been hard hit by economic conditions and this bankruptcy forum comes at a perfect time and location. Among other important indicators, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that California ranks second in the nation in unemployment."
The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, or BAPCPA, requires debtors to complete both Pre-Filing Credit Counseling and Pre-Discharge Debtor Education courses and InCharge offers both courses online at www.PersonalFinanceEducation.com.
