ORLANDO, Fla., May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- InCharge® Debt Solutions ("InCharge"), a nonprofit credit counseling agency, with its affiliate InCharge Education Foundation, has helped clients complete over 1,000,000 bankruptcy courses since the company initiated the educational offerings in 2006. This event will feature discussions of best practices in representing debtors, recent case law updates in Chapters 7 and 13, debtor remedies for creditor wrongs, Rule 3001 claims, reaffirmation agreements, the intersection of divorce and bankruptcy, and a series of roundtables and breakout sessions.
"Tennessee recorded 7.19 filings for every 1,000 people in the state during the first quarter of 2012, making it the number one state for per-capita bankruptcy filings in the country," said Beth Mason, InCharge's Director of Outreach Programs for Bankruptcy Services. "Those numbers indicate a real need for bankruptcy services in the south, and we believe the timing is right for a conference like this in Memphis."
The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, or BAPCPA, requires debtors to complete both Pre-Filing Credit Counseling and Pre-Discharge Debtor Education courses and InCharge offers both courses online at www.PersonalFinanceEducation.com.
