Nonprofit organization will exhibit at the June 20-23 event in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla., June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- InCharge® Debt Solutions ("InCharge"), a nonprofit credit counseling agency, will be on hand to showcase its bankruptcy courses and housing counseling services when the Florida Bar convenes for its Annual Convention, June 20-23, 2012, in Orlando, Florida.

InCharge, with its affiliate InCharge Education Foundation, has helped clients complete over 1 million bankruptcy courses since the company initiated the educational offerings in 2006.  The company will be showcasing its Pre-Filing Credit Counseling, and Pre-Discharge Debtor Education courses during the three-day event.  Both courses can be found online at www.PersonalFinanceEducation.com.

Housing counseling services offered by InCharge will also be featured in the organization's exhibit, including both foreclosure prevention counseling and home buyer education programs.

This event will feature workshops designed for Florida attorneys in all legal disciplines and will include focus groups, committee meetings and an exposition hall filled with vendors showcasing their products and services for lawyers.  The theme of the convention will be "Then, Now, and Always: A Heritage of Leadership."

"Bankruptcies across the country fell during the first quarter of 2012 causing some observers to think that the worst may be behind us," said Beth Mason, InCharge's Director of Outreach Programs for Bankruptcy Services.  "However, Florida is not out of the woods yet with 4.43 filings per 1,000 people, ranking the state fifteenth in the country and demonstrating that InCharge's services are still urgently needed by consumers and bankruptcy attorneys who will attend this convention."

"While some housing markets are doing better, particularly in new and existing home sales, many experts are still anticipating a new wave of foreclosures in 2012," noted Billie Passmore, InCharge's Director of Outreach Programs for Housing Services.  "Florida continues to be particularly hard-hit, in fact, one in every 364 housing units in the state received a foreclosure filing in the first quarter of this year, so the Florida Bar gathering is very timely."
