Nonprofit organization offers free credit and housing counseling, and discounted services to help U.S. military personnel find solutions to debt issues
ORLANDO, Fla., March 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With more than 40,000 soldiers recently returning to the U.S. from Iraq and another 30,000 expected to come home from Afghanistan this year, one nonprofit organization is helping servicemembers deal with financial problems. InCharge Debt Solutions, one of the nation's most effective and responsive organizations for those dealing with debt problems, offers free credit and housing counseling, and also waives set-up fees and caps monthly fees for U.S. military personnel and their immediate families who need a debt management program.

"The tens of thousands of returning veterans, along with those who are here as active and retired members of the military, often face severe financial hardships, particularly after a deployment," said Etta Money, President of InCharge Debt Solutions. "All too frequently, jobs are lost and become harder to get when a servicemember returns home, and that can cause problems with credit card debt and housing."
While it is very heartening to see many states like New Jersey considering legislation that would offer tax credits to businesses that hire veterans, the tremendous strain of assimilating back into the workforce and even being forced to learn new skills can put stress on finances, families and relationships.
"Our message is that we are here to help and support our military, and our special servicemember program is one way for us to do that," said Money. "Military members facing credit card debt problems can call us for free credit counseling, and if the solution they choose is a debt management program, we will waive their set-up fee and ensure that the most they would pay for our services is $10 per month."
