iNACOL Webinar Highlights Louisiana's Pioneering Course Choice Program As a Model for Other States
iNACOL's Leadership Webinar for March 13, 2013
WASHINGTON, March 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) will present a webinar focused on Louisiana's pioneering course choice program on March 13, 2013. Ken Bradford, Assistant Superintendent of the Louisiana Department of Education, will discuss how they plan to provide access to a range of courses for schools and students across Louisiana, including online, blended, and face-to-face offerings.
Susan Patrick, iNACOL's President and CEO, said, "Louisiana is in the process of revolutionizing the education of its students through this course choice program. Education reforms such as online and blended learning, next generation leadership training, and school transformation make Louisiana a model for student-centered policy that recognizes a world-class education is not one-size-fits-all. The course choice initiative, offering a la carte access to an array of classes in several formats, is a tremendous next step toward making school work for all students how, where, and when they learn."
The webinar will run from 2:00p to 3:00p ET on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Ken Bradford's presentation will provide an overview of the planning, development, and implementation of Louisiana's course choice clearinghouse, the course quality review process, as well as a vision of how it might be a model for other states.
