In the Beverages Category 2017: Viña Concha y Toro enters the Dow Jones Sustainability Index as Top 10

SANTIAGO, Chile, Sept. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is the most prestigious international sustainability index, which evaluates companies' environmental, social, economic and governance performance. Viña Concha y Toro has been invited to participate in the index since 2015, achieving prominent positions in each year.

In the 2017 edition, the Winery made significant progress in each of the dimensions assessed, improving its scores compared to the previous year in all areas of evaluation, and standing out in the "Beverages" category, positioning itself in the top third.

With these excellent results, Viña Concha y Toro entered the global ranking inside the Top 10 Beverages category for the first time, alongside renowned brands and leading multinational companies in each of their respective market segments.

The evaluation includes aspects such as corporate governance, supply chain management, innovation management, climate change, water management, human rights, corporate citizenship and philanthropy, among others. In the majority of assessment criteria, Concha y Toro achieved scores above 80%, and even obtained 100% in two criteria.
