Based in Carlsbad, California, In Motion operates San Diego's premier health and fitness related events, some of which include the Tri-City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon and Half Marathon, Double Down & Surf Sun Run 5K, La Jolla Half Marathon & Shores 5K, and America's Finest City Half Marathon & 5K. Nearly 17,000 In Motion participants register annually on the Events.com platform.

All of In Motion's events work with various charities. The events encourage race participants to "run for a reason" by raising funds and awareness for one or more of the organizations.
