BALTIMORE, Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- imre Health today announced Kirsty Whelan, Vice President of Strategy, was honored Wednesday night as one of the elite 2018 Agency Vanguard Award recipients by DTC Perspectives, a publishing, conference/training, and consulting company that specializes in the area of consumer marketing of pharmaceutical and healthcare products.
The Agency Vanguard Awards recognize standout agency team members driving innovation and improving patient communications. Agency executives were selected based on actual accomplishments, influence on future DTC launches or campaigns, or recognized contributions and service to patients as well as the DTC industry.
Whelan was one of only 21 industry leaders who were recognized as part of this third annual class at the Agency Vanguard Awards ceremony, held October 10 in Jersey City at the 2018 DTC Forum on TV & Print. Whelan has been a driving force behind the growth at imre Health and has been at the center of successful social marketing programs for clients such as AMAG Pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Zoetis.
"It was just four years ago that this fiercely independently owned and operated agency was hired to work on NEXIUM and today our work is recognized alongside some of the biggest players in the industry and healthcare space," said Kirsty Whelan, Vice President of imre Health.
Over the last year, imre, a consumer marketing agency, has made significant investments in its healthcare business, including hiring accomplished team members with expertise in strategy, HCP marketing, social and digital programming and content creation. The agency also has taken steps to better understand how drug manufacturers and clinicians can create more meaningful interactions with their customers through the use of social media, and recently partnered with outside experts to complete empathy training and develop an empathy brief that teams already are applying to client engagements.
"Kirsty is celebrating nearly a decade at imre and it is her vision, ingenuity and entrepreneurship that helped spearhead the health strategy practice. We are empowered by her resilience and how she helps raise the bar for our agency and the brands we are so fortunate to work alongside," said Jeff Smokler President of imre Health.
imre Health, a division of imre, has offices in Baltimore, New York City, and Los Angeles, provides full-service marketing communications with a unique focus on creating and managing empathetic, patient-centric social and digital marketing programs for pharmaceutical companies.
