IMPAQ VP James Moore Appointed to Bureau of Labor Statistics Advisory Committee
COLUMBIA, Md., Feb. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- IMPAQ International is proud to announce that the U.S. Secretary of Labor has approved the appointment of Dr. James Moore, IMPAQ's Vice President of Labor, to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Data Users Advisory Committee (DUAC).
As a member of the Committee, Dr. Moore will provide advice to the BLS on technical matters related to the collection, analysis, dissemination, and use of the Bureau's statistics, published reports, and the broader aspects of its overall mission and function. As IMPAQ's Labor executive, Dr. Moore will provide the company's viewpoints as they relate to the priorities of BLS data users, suggestions for the addition of or modifications to BLS programs, and ideas for innovations in data collection, dissemination, and presentation.
Dr. Moore holds a B.S. from Mississippi Valley State University, an M.A. from Virginia State University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Howard University. He has conducted extensive research on workforce development issues, income security, and the economics of aging, with emphasis on the economic status of Baby Boomers. Prior to joining IMPAQ, Dr. Moore served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy. He has also served as the Deputy Director and Chief Economist for the District of Columbia Department of Employment Services (DOES), as a Senior Policy Advisor with OASP, and as Deputy Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD).
