ImPACT Applications Earns Provisional Accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to Provide Courses for Physicians and Healthcare Providers

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- ImPACT Applications, Inc., developer of ImPACT® and ImPACT Pediatric®, announced today it has been granted Provisional Accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) to provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses on concussion management for physicians and other healthcare providers. ACCME accreditation is one of the highest CME honors. This achievement further validates ImPACT Applications' proven, scientific approach and supports the need for continuing education based on empirical data and research in concussion protocols. 

The ACCME's mission is the identification, development, and promotion of standards for quality continuing medical education (CME) utilized by physicians in their maintenance of competence and incorporation of new knowledge to improve quality medical care for patients and their communities.

ImPACT Applications' Credentialed ImPACT Consultant (CIC) program is open to healthcare providers who have demonstrated their commitment to comprehensive concussion management by becoming trained in comprehensive concussion management by completing a thorough and rigorous educational program. PhD, PsyD, MD, DO, CNP, or PACs looking to expand their skills and knowledge in the rapidly-growing area of concussion management can receive CME credits when they complete select courses. Participating physicians can gain concussion management knowledge that is not typically a part of medical school training.
