NEW YORK, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- McPheters & Company announced today that iMonitor™ is now providing detailed evaluations of the more than 626 publication-related tablet apps which have been introduced globally to date. While the U.S. accounts for about a third of all apps for magazines and newspapers, growth in these apps is coming disproportionately from outside the U.S.
iMonitor™ evaluates the quality of each app in terms of design, functionality, use of rich media, and advertising quality, while also tracking more than 70 features and other variables. These include pricing, use of other platforms, ad models and enhancements, transactional capabilities, and use of social media. The service also includes bi-weekly reports which review notable changes that have occurred in terms of introductions and updates, as well as identifying outstanding ads that run. McPheters & Company recently announced that it has launched a companion service to iMonitor called iValuate™ which undertakes thorough testing of apps prior to their release.
