The event aims to empower Caribbean designers, highlighting their contributions to the industry and branding the Caribbean as a global player in culture, tourism and fashion. The event will showcase the creations of ten designers, including Caribbean award-winning designer of 2010 Queen Esther of Kuumba Designs (St. Lucia), Jewel Shannon (Barbados), Kazz Forbs (Turks & Caicos), Theodore Elyett (Bahamas), Charles Dieujuste (Haiti), Lucia Rodrigues (Dominican Republic), Rebecca Beck (Curacao), Simon Duncan (Trinidad), Ron and Ron (Haiti) and Cassandra Mottley-Sheliel (Barbados).

Byron Barnes will be leading the team of professional IMAN Cosmetics' makeup artists to create the glamorous looks for each designer, using inspiration from their respective collections. To depict Caribbean diversity, male and female models will be represented from all races to showcase various skin tones.
"On behalf of the IMAN Cosmetics brand, we are extremely proud to be the exclusive makeup sponsor for this fantastic showcase of international talent," said Desiree Reid, Senior VP Brand Development, IMAN Cosmetics. "As the leader in the cosmetics arena for women with skin of color, it only made sense for our brand to partner with CIFW to highlight the beauty of diversity."
The CIFW will raise funds for the Caribbean Tourism Organization, whose primary focus is to provide scholarships to Caribbean Nationals who aspire to engage in philanthropic projects.
