Imaging Industry Executive Jay D. Miller Tapped to Lead ZONARE
Miller Brings 25 Years of Industry and Executive Leadership Background
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- ZONARE Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that veteran medical imaging industry executive Jay D. Miller has joined the company as president and chief executive officer. ZONARE's former CEO, Donald J. Southard, has resigned.

Miller, who most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Kappametrics, Inc., a company focused on developing novel product solutions for the combined EEG and MRI markets, brings with him over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry at leading medical technology companies.
Prior to Kappametrics, Miller served as president and chief executive officer of Vital Images, Inc., a provider of advanced visualization and analysis solutions for medical professionals in diagnostic imaging and therapy planning. Before that, he served at General Electric Medical Systems, most recently in their cardiology segment, and at Siemens Medical Solutions in their Magnetic Resonance (MR) business. Miller holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Dartmouth College, a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He won the Ernst & Young Minnesota and Dakotas Entrepreneur of the Year Award with Vincent Argiro in 2005 and the Frost and Sullivan Medical Imaging CEO of the Year Award in 2004.
