ImagineNations Network Highlighted at President Obama's Summit on Entrepreneurship
Call for Global Entrepreneurship Networking Portal Answered by ImagineNations Network
WASHINGTON, April 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ImagineNations Group is pleased to announce that its social networking platform for young entrepreneurs, called ImagineNations Network (www.imagine-network.org), is highlighted at President Obama's Summit on Entrepreneurship, held in Washington, April 26-27.
ImagineNations Network (INN) is a global technology platform with a focus on emerging markets that enables young entrepreneurs to connect at the local and global level to peers, advice and resources to help them build businesses and livelihoods around the world.
"We are pleased to help President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton address the challenge of enterprise development through our innovative platform," said ImagineNations Group Managing Director Alan H. Fleischmann, who was selected as a delegate to the Summit. "ImagineNations Network is focused on access to capital, coaching, mentoring, e-commerce, all designed to link entrepreneurs with each other and supporters both globally and locally."
The Summit on Entrepreneurship follows through on President Obama's commitment to identify how the U.S. can deepen ties between business leaders, foundations and social entrepreneurs in the United States and Muslim communities around the world. It represents an opportunity to highlight and support business and social entrepreneurship in Muslim-majority countries, including their minority populations, and Muslim communities around the world.
Leading up to the Summit on Entrepreneurship, ImagineNations Network has been working with the U.S. State Department to create an Arabic language version of INN and will be working to help USG realize its E-Mentor Corps, an effort to inspire a new legion of mentors to support young entrepreneurs. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will introduce the E-Mentor Corps at the Summit. Currently, INN's network of users includes 1000s of mentors already.
Through INN, young people, NGOs, mentors, supporters, financing sources, commercial outlets and others interact virtually to promote youth entrepreneurship and economic development, exchanging ideas, experiences and learning, as well as providing access to financial and marketplace services. INN was developed by ImagineNations Group in partnership with Mercy Corps, with support from the Global Partnership for Youth Investment (GPYI) of the World Bank and Cisco Foundation. The beta version was launched in late 2009.
