Illumio Achieves Oracle Exastack Ready Status
Illumio Adaptive Security Platform is Now Supported and Ready to Run with Oracle Linux and Oracle Database
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Illumio today announced that it has achieved Oracle Exastack Ready status through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). Today's announcement demonstrates that Illumio supports its Adaptive Security Platform (ASP)™ with Oracle Linux and Oracle Database.
Through this partnership, Illumio now secures the world's most critical application data running on Oracle software and facilitates secure migration of Oracle apps to Exadata and XaaS offerings, including Database as a Service. Joint customers also benefit from:
- Secure network access to Oracle RAC servers, without impacting the platform's high availability, scalability, and agility capabilities
- Validated support on all hosts running Oracle Linux
- The ability to re-platform Oracle apps to Exadata with security intact, which enables them to move to Oracle XaaS offerings with more confidence
Illumio is a Gold-level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork. Oracle Linux Ready and Oracle Database Ready are part of the Oracle Exastack Ready program, which allows partners, including Illumio, to be recognized by Oracle for developing and supporting their applications on Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle SuperCluster, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, Oracle Database Appliance, Oracle Big Data Appliance or Virtual Compute Appliance.
The Oracle Exastack Ready program recognizes Illumio as having applications that leverage the latest Oracle technology to better support joint customers. Illumio's Adaptive Security Platform stops the lateral movement of threats inside data centers and across public cloud environments with its industry-first live application dependency mapping and adaptive segmentation. These capabilities now extend to Oracle Exastack infrastructure.
"Oracle applications represent some of the most mission critical elements in dynamic, distributed data centers and clouds," said Alan Cohen, chief commercial officer of Illumio. "Achieving Oracle Exastack Ready status is testament to Illumio's ability to deliver the adaptive segmentation that our joint customers require to keep their critical data secure."
"When partners such as Illumio leverage Oracle Exastack Ready as the foundation for their applications, they benefit from a complete, integrated and cloud-ready infrastructure that will help them use new features and functionality and drive innovation," said David Hicks, vice president, worldwide ISV and OEM business development at Oracle. "We are pleased to see Illumio achieve Oracle Exastack Ready status as this significant milestone helps equip them to deliver superior value to customers."
