Illinois State Rifle Association to Kick Off Its 8th Annual Rifle Range Open House With a Press Briefing Regarding the McDonald V. Chicago Case
CHICAGO , June 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following press advisory is being issued by the Illinois State Rifle Association:
WHAT: 8th Annual Open House, Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) Rifle Range. The event will feature demonstrations of range facilities, static displays of vintage military equipment, displays of vintage and modern sporting firearms, and the opportunity for members of the general public to test-fire the latest rifles and pistols offered by the major firearm manufacturers. The general public is invited. Persons wishing to test firearms must comply with all state and federal laws and must complete a range safety training session. A nominal ammunition fee is required. Eye and hearing protection will be provided. Admission is free. A press briefing regarding the McDonald v. Chicago case now before the U.S. Supreme Court will also take place.
WHEN: Saturday, June 26, 2010. Press briefing and media tour of the facility will commence at 9:00 a.m. Doors open to the general public at 10:00 a.m. with closing events at 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: Illinois State Rifle Association Range, Bonfield, Illinois. The range is located on Warner Bridge Road, 4.5 miles south of Route 113 or 1.5 miles north of Route 17. GPS: 41° 08' 28.51" N 88° 00' 38.16 W
