Illinois State Rifle Association Announces Event To Support Susan G. Komen For The Cure
CHATSWORTH, Ill., Oct. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):
The ISRA is pleased to announce the association's second annual Shoot for the Cure to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Building on the success of last year's event, the 2012 Shoot for the Cure is evidence of the ISRA's commitment to help eradicate the scourge of breast cancer.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the ISRA Rifle Range which is located on Warner Bridge Road, midway between Routes 113 and 117, near Bonfield, IL. Registration starts at 9:30 A.M. with shooting events, raffles, and other activities beginning at 10:00. The event runs until 3:00 P.M.
Admission to the event costs $30 for adults and $20 for participants 12-19 years of age. All proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Participants need not possess a FOID card, but all participants will be required to attend a safety briefing before shooting. Ammunition, eye and ear protection will be provided. No personal firearms will be allowed on site for the event.
