Illinois State Rifle Association Announces 12th Annual Rifle Range Open House

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):

The ISRA is pleased to announce that the 12^th Annual NRA/ISRA Range Day will be held at the ISRA Rifle Range on Saturday, June 21, 2014. The purpose of the event is to showcase ISRA range facilities and give attendees the opportunity to learn about the shoot sports and test-fire many of the most popular firearms available on the market today – including hot new concealed carry pistols.

Gates open at 10:00 AM with all shooting events ending at 4:00 PM. The event is open to the public and both admission and parking are free. Other events include historical battle reenactments and static displays of vintage military vehicles.

Manufacturers' representatives from leading gun makers will be on hand with guns available for test firing. Persons wishing to participate in test-firing must attend a special safety briefing before being certified to shoot. Eye and ear protection are provided. A nominal donation is required to cover the costs of ammunition. Personal firearms and ammunition may not be discharged on the range during the open house event.

The ISRA Range is located on Warner Bridge Road, midway between Routes 113 and Route 17, near Bonfield, IL
